About Lololi Speaks
Lololi Speaks was born and raised in 1979 in New York City. She was the baby of 9 children to amazing, parents. As a young child and teen, writing stories, making books and magazines became her hobby. But as life would have it, making money, parties, and dating took over. At 23 years old, she married and then divorced, a few years later. Searching for a new lease on life, she migrated to Baltimore in 2010.
Her new life began when she decided to follow her dream to become a writer and public speaker. While working in the health field, she shared her poetry and inspirational words in department newsletters. At UMBC and Coppin State University in 2012, her poetry got published in a student magazine called Rise Up. While working with a fellow student, she had an opportunity to speak to incarcerated women at the Waxter’s Women Correctional Facility. In 2013, her bestseller Love, Lies, and Lust: Poetic Therapy, revealed the highs and lows of her romantic rendezvous. Finding herself a sucker for love, she openly describes her feelings and thoughts about sex, love, lies, and surviving heartache. 2014, brought a collaboration with MCI writer’s House, the Inspired Hearts Exclusive Collection. 2015, gave the opportunity to co-host The C.U.R.E Radio on a platform that would spark change. Lololi’s words teach lessons and shares experiences of relationships, love and living life. Her message of survival and encouragement to be ones best self can always be heard.
Lololi Speaks has remarried and lives, happily with her husband, step-son and cat. They own and operate, a family contracting business. While she completes her degrees in Psychology and Business Management at Capella University, she continues to write short stories, blog, speak, coach, and write poetry. also see more information
